What we collect
- Account details: name, company, email, password (stored hashed).
- Order details: the releases you submit, approvals, invoices and reports.
- Basic site analytics: pages viewed, referrer, rough location from IP.
Why we collect it
To distribute your press release, to prove what we sent and where it landed, to take payment, and to answer you when you write in. Anything you publish in a release is public by design, so treat the body copy as public the moment you approve it.
Who sees it
Publishers and syndication partners receive the release itself. Our payment processor handles card details, which never touch our servers. Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf under contract. That is the whole list; we do not sell or rent data, and we do not send unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
Order records stay for seven years because tax rules require it. Account data goes when you ask us to close the account. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a small analytics cookie to see which pages are useful. Blocking the analytics cookie changes nothing about the service you get.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and we will act within 30 days. California and EU residents have specific rights and we apply the same process to everyone. Send requests through the contact form.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted, access is limited to the staff who need it, and we review accounts quarterly. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you rather than wait to be asked. Commercial terms are in the terms of sale and money questions in the refund policy.
